How to build protobuf in ubuntu?

git clone https://github.com/protocolbuffers/protobuf.git
cd protobuf
git submodule update --init --recursive
./autogen.sh 

 ./configure
 make
 make check
 sudo make install
 sudo ldconfig # refresh shared library cache.
